Karen’s yogic journey began in her late 20s at a small Iyengar Yoga studio in Perth, where she attended 2-3 classes a week for over 10 years to help her manage stress and chronic neck and shoulder pain. Here, Karen developed her love of yoga and it’s many benefits, particularly yoga’s ability to calm the nervous system, while creating a strong and supple body.
In 2013, Karen commenced her 650 hour Hatha Vinyasa Teacher training through The Yoga Space in Perth. She completed the course just before moving to Queenstown with her partner in 2015.
In 2016 Karen had surgery to remove a bone tumor from her right upper arm. Yoga and meditation have been the foundation of her physical and emotional recovery, deepening her understanding of yoga’s profound healing capacity.
Karen loves sharing her passion for yoga with people of all ages and through all stages of life. She believes everyone can enjoy and benefit from a regular yoga practice.
