Nina moved with her family to beautiful Queenstown 18 months ago. Nina’s passion for yoga started more than a decade ago in Auckland when a friend invited her to join a new yoga class. She was immediately hooked and just loved that feel-good-feeling, that ‘yoga-glow’ everyone (including herself) was experiencing after class. After she became a busy mother of two young children she truly began to experience the deeper effects of a regular yoga practise.
Originally from Bremen in northern Germany, she has also lived in London, UK and Auckland, NZ. These experiences have given her the exposure, compassion and adaptability across different cultures and people.
Yoga has been a wonderful tool in assisting her to remain calm and focussed in her daily routine. It was witnessing how yoga benefitted Nina in her day-to-day life that inspired her to share the yoga teachings with others.
This year Nina completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training through the Nadi Wellness Centre (Queenstown). She is incredibly grateful for the wisdom and teachings that were shared during this three week immersion. Exploring the holistic approach to yoga was life changing and deepened her understanding of the true meaning of yoga, and how it works on all levels of our being connecting body, mind and soul.
Everyone can benefit from the gift of yoga. Nina would be honoured to share these teachings with anyone who is interested and a little curious.
There is a lovely quote that says: ‘The Yoga will take care of it.’ For her, it does. She hopes to see you on the mat soon. Namaste.
